How do I calculate what percentage one number is of another?
Divide the part by the whole and multiply by 100. For example, 25 is what percent of 200? → (25 ÷ 200) × 100 = 12.5%.
How do I calculate percentage change?
Percentage change = ((New Value − Old Value) ÷ Old Value) × 100. A positive result means increase; negative means decrease.
What is X% of Y?
Multiply Y by X and divide by 100. For example, 15% of 80 = (15 × 80) ÷ 100 = 12.
